Frequently Asked Questions
SOME COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR FLEET & AUTO DETAILING SERVICE

What exactly is detailing?
Detailing is the specialized process of deep cleaning, restoring, and protecting your vehicle inside and out to keep it as close to showroom condition as possible. Our goal is to have your car, truck, van, or fleet vehicle looking and feeling the way it did when it first hit the road.

What is the difference between detailing a vehicle and just washing it?
A wash is a basic clean with soap and water to remove loose dirt. Detailing goes much further and can include bug/tar/sap removal, tire and rim treatment, interior leather and vinyl conditioning, carpet and headliner shampooing, wet sanding, waxing, and other protectants to preserve your paint and surfaces. Consistent detailing not only keeps vehicles looking sharp, it also helps protect finishes and supports long‑term value.

Can scratches be removed from my vehicle without having to repaint it?
In many cases, light scratches can be reduced or removed by compounding and polishing the affected area. If scratches have gone into the clear coat, they may be carefully wet sanded and then polished. When damage has gone completely through the clear coat and into the base color, repainting is usually the only permanent solution.

What are some signs that my vehicle needs to be waxed or polished?
After your vehicle is washed and dried, lightly run your hand along the paint—if you feel rough spots or drag, it is time for a wax or polish. You can also spray water on the surface—if it no longer beads up and just lays flat, your protection is wearing off and a fresh wax or sealant should be applied soon.

How often should my vehicle be detailed?
For most personal vehicles, a full detail at least twice a year is a good starting point, with more frequent maintenance for darker colors or outdoor parking. Hard‑working fleet vehicles that are on the road daily, especially work trucks and service vans, often benefit from more regular cleaning to protect finishes and maintain a professional image.
